NASCAR Las Vegas 400 spring -

Traveling by car

Just a short drive north of the Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas Motor Speedway stands out in the desert as one of NASCAR’s most iconic stops. With the city’s endless entertainment on offer, a race weekend here often turns into a full Las Vegas getaway.

Due to the sheer number of visitors on race weekends, fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early. If you have a parking pass, carefully check the instructions printed on the back, as access routes may differ from standard directions. On-site police officers and parking attendants will guide traffic as lots open and fill.

Directions

  • From the south (Las Vegas Strip / Downtown): Take I-15 North to Exit 54 (Speedway Blvd.). The Speedway is approximately 10 miles from downtown Las Vegas. Las Vegas Boulevard North can also be used as an alternative route.
  • From the north: Travel south on I-15 and exit at Exit 54 (Speedway Blvd.).
  • From the Northwest Valley: Take the CC-215 Beltway East to I-15 North. Exit at Speedway Blvd. (Exit 54), remain in the left two lanes of the ramp, and proceed straight across Speedway Blvd. into the Blue Lot (public parking). Follow instructions from the Nevada Highway Patrol and event staff.
  • From the Strip and Southwest Valley: Use I-15 North to Exit 54 (Speedway Blvd.), stay left on the exit ramp, and continue straight into the Blue Lot.
  • From Henderson, Boulder City, and the Southeast Valley: Take US-95 North to Las Vegas Boulevard, then continue north on Las Vegas Blvd. Enter the Speedway via Entry 3 for public parking.
  • From the Northeast Valley: Use Las Vegas Boulevard North and access LVMS through Entry 3.
  • From Logandale, Overton, Mesquite, and points further north: Take I-15 South to Exit 54 (Speedway Blvd.). Turn left onto Speedway Blvd., then turn left again into the Blue Lot.

Approximate driving times

  • Las Vegas Strip: 20 minutes (15 miles via I-15 North)
  • Henderson: 30 minutes (25 miles via US-95 North and Las Vegas Blvd.)
  • Mesquite, NV: 1 hour 15 minutes (80 miles via I-15 South)
  • St. George, UT: 1 hour 45 minutes (110 miles via I-15 South)
  • Los Angeles, CA: 4–5 hours (270 miles via I-15 North)

Extra tips

  • Expect heavy congestion near the Speedway, especially close to race start times.
  • Use all lanes as directed by traffic officers and parking attendants.
  • For safety reasons, parking south of Speedway Blvd. is not permitted.
  • Parking at Legends Outlets is not recommended, as crossing restricted roads can be unsafe and often slower than using official Speedway parking areas.
